Fixed Term (8 month) Salaried GP opportunity in the City of Cambridge – 6 sessions

We have a vacancy for a Fixed Term Salaried GP to cover a partner sabbatical from early January 2027 until late August 2027.

Our Practice is just off the City centre with our own staff Car Park. We have a patient size of almost 11000 and commit to, “today’s work today”. We value high patient satisfaction, whilst protecting our colleagues. Great value is placed on work life balance. York Street operates with the SystmOne Clinical IT System, Ardens & Accurx. Multiple choices are available for patient appointment consultations and we use electronic prescribing. There is a very low rate home visit workload.

We are a Training Practice and a medical student teaching practice. York Street is also Research active.

There is a daily coffee meeting (with fresh fruit!) plus a timetable of regular educational meetings.

The appointment is 6 sessions per week. Full days are needed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We have a very low turnover of GPs, which we like to think reflects how we choose to work as a team.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake the full range of clinical work, with most reasonable patient slot numbers per session.
