I completed GP training in Cambridge 2017 before becoming a partner at my training practice in Bottisham. I love being a GP. I thrive on teaching and encouraging our trainees and particularly enjoy the daily variability and patient continuity this career allows. I am a frequent voice on TV & radio attempting to explain the demands of general practice and educate the public regarding topical medical issues. I would relish the chance to be on the LMC to further our aims of protecting the career I am passionate about while safeguarding general practice for the Cambridgeshire community.

I qualified as a GP in 2017 and work as a salaried GP and trainer in St Ives. Over the past 4 years I’ve been an LMC member, supporting local GPs, representing constituents, and participating in England and UK LMC conferences. With my experience and dedication, I’m eager to continue sharing insights from my practice, and addressing challenges in primary care, such as inadequate GP ARRS funding. As the ICB advances its new care model, it’s crucial to have strong voices representing General Practice, and I’m committed to advocating for hard-pressed GPs working at the NHS coalface.

I always wanted to be a GP. After 30 years as a partner I still enjoy general practice, though am frustrated by the ongoing lack of NHS trust and investment in us and our teams. We deserve better.
GPs need robust representation and strong advocacy within a system where for too long we have been marginalised and underfunded.
I am proud to be a LMC member.
If re-elected, I will continue to fight for fairer funding and will robustly represent the voice of general practice at both local and national level.

I am a Cambridge GP Partner of 11 years and Trainer who loves her job. I am passionate about advocating for my patients, team, colleagues, and profession. We need to protect General Practice survival. Whilst I have previously wanted to join the LMC, only recently have I felt I had enough knowledge, time, and experience to do so wholeheartedly. This is such an important time to play a part in helping shape the future of General Practice and I am dedicated to giving my all to represent in the C&P LMC and voicing the opinions of my fellow frontline GPs.

With 30 years’ experience as a GP, much of it as a partner and more recently a locum, I have been part of an amazing profession.  A profession which now faces significant challenges, requiring the LMC to provide a strong and representative voice. I have had the privilege to be part of the LMC voice as a committee and Board member for the last 8 years.  My experience in appraisal, education, and as training hub retention gives me the unique opportunity to hear first-hand about the challenges from colleagues across the breadth of general practice. Please support me to continue this role.

We are facing the biggest challenges to our profession that I have seen in my 25 years a GP (all in Cambridgeshire). The profession is facing a truly existential threat, both nationally and sadly from our own ICB. As an LMC committee member for over 20 years I am immensely proud to have played my part in supporting the phenomenal way we have defended the profession and supported individual GPs locally. I would ask for your vote so that I would have the continuing privilege of supporting the LMC team and Katie’s efforts nationally for another 4 years

A GP in Cambridgeshire since 2006, recently reluctantly handing back the contract at East Barnwell Health Centre. It has been a privilege to serve on the LMC committee for the past four years. I have pushed for improvements in dialogue with our secondary care colleagues. Handing back a partnership has gained me experience in negotiating with commissioners; I have fought the cause for Deep End practices and advocated for continuity of care. Recently, as LMC conference rep, I have argued against detrimental NHS Property services charges and the loss of financial schemes meant to boost recruitment and retention.

I am a Peterborough-based GP who trained in the West Cambs VTS and work in the Fens so have good insight into several of the problems in our region. I have such a passion for General Practice and want to bring some more straightforward (and sometimes blunt) talk in support of our local GP causes. Sometimes politics and diplomacy aren’t enough and I’m not afraid to state the obvious. I particularly want to represent all the frustrated GPs in the Fens/Hunts/Peterborough area and add some fighting talk to our hard work and dedication.

I have been a GP in Peterborough since 2012. I have witnessed changes on the NHS that have had both positive and negative impacts on our system. I have worked in General Practice as a salaried doctor, a locum and now as a partner. I am also a trainer and an appraiser. As a result, I am aware of the challenges faced by G.Ps in our area. I jointed the LMC 4 years ago in order to offer the benefits of my experience, support the committee towards its goal of protecting G.P interests as well as support my colleagues. This service is dear to my heart and I hope to continue to provide such to my colleagues at all levels of general practice.

I am determined to help GPs across the patch to make the most of our lot and help secure the health of our profession going forwards. A breadth of experience working as a partner, trainer, LMC committee for the last 4 years, PCN board member and in locum, OOH and in extended access roles. As a partner, but also as a keen educator and innovator; I am both acutely aware of the pressures we face, and yet am keen to – and have a track record of – helping to find solutions. It would be my pleasure to represent you.

Following GP training in Cambridge, I have been a GP partner in Cambridge city since 2010 and a PCN Clinical Director since 2019. During my working life as a GP, I have witnessed a significant amount of change, both in the nature of my own job as a GP, and in the surrounding NHS structures and organisations. My role as a PCN CD has allowed me to become well informed about important local and national issues affecting general practice. It would be an honour to represent, advocate for and protect Cambridgeshire and Peterborough general practice.

I am privileged to have been on the LMC Committee for eight years, and have gained huge experience over this time of remarkable change. I have been LMC Conference Rep on many occasions, taking the opportunity to both shape and lead the national debate, and support the Cambs LMC Conference team. I am the current Treasurer and support the work of the LMC Office through my role on the LMC Board. Above all, I am passionate about supporting and representing GPs of all types, and would love the opportunity to continue to bring my experience and perspective to the Committee.

As GP Partner and Digital Transformation Lead at Arbury Road Surgery, alongside my roles as PCN Mental Health Lead and Clinical Safety Officer, I am passionate about advancing healthcare through technology. I recognise the transformative potential of digital innovations and AI in general practice, provided they are implemented with robust safety protocols. While secondary care leads in digital transformation, primary care often receives technological solutions with minimal consultation. Drawing on my experience in clinical practice, digital transformation, and safety oversight, I aim to advocate for the local GP community through the LMC-GPC channel, ensuring future technologies truly serve primary care.

I am standing for election to the Local Medical Committee to represent local GPs and ensure our voices are heard. As a GP partner, I understand the pressures we face and am committed to advocating for fair policies and better support. Currently halfway through an MBA in Healthcare Management, I bring strategic insight and leadership skills to navigate these challenges. I have a particular interest in AI and communication, exploring how technology can enhance patient care and streamline practice operations. I want to work collaboratively to strengthen primary care, improve resources, and ensure sustainable services for clinicians and patients.

A GP over 20yrs. I’ve been Locum, salaried and partner in deprived and affluent areas. Over 10years a partner in Central Peterborough leading the practice through significant challenges the past 8.  A director of the local federation, Greater Peterborough Network since 2018 and previously served on the LCG. These experiences are invaluable, giving me insight to the challenges we all face daily exacerbated by wider system pressures. I’m passionate about supporting individual practitioners and practices in a pragmatic way to deliver sustainable services for the future. It would be my privilege be part of the LMC to do this.

Having served 12 years in the British Army, I became a Sessional GP in Peterborough. Seeking to improve processes for patients and GPs, I became a ICB Clinical Lead in 2019, and work alongside the LMC Executive to ensure any new pathways are appropriate for GP colleagues. I have a particular focus in supporting practices to better care for our highest-risk &‘Deep End’ patients and co-ordinate the local Deep End: C&P group. I enjoy being a GP Trainer and have enthusiastically represented C&P at both England and national LMC conferences to support General Practice to thrive and flourish.
