Practice Manager

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward-thinking Practice Manager to join our friendly and dedicated GP practice based in Mill Road, Cambridge.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the day-to-day operations of a well-established practice working across two sites, both of which offer on-site parking.

Working 25 to 28 hours over 5 days (hours to be agreed).

About the Role

As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational, financial, and strategic management of the practice. You will work closely with the GP partners, clinical team, operations manager and administrative staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care while maintaining an efficient and supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership across both practice sites.
  • Manage and support a multidisciplinary team, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Oversee finance, budgeting, contracts, and business planning.
  • Ensure compliance with NHS regulations, CQC standards, and employment legislation.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and service development.
  • Manage premises, IT systems, and practice resources.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, staff, the Primary Care Network, and external stakeholders.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous management experience within primary care, healthcare, or a similar regulated environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Be financially and commercially aware with experience managing budgets.
  • Be confident driving continuous improvement.
  • Have a proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach.
